Laminam is a consolidated company part of the System Group. The continuous search for technological and aesthetic solutions for ceramic tile products has resulted in the development by the System Group of an innovative and completely automated production process which has been incorporated into Laminam to broaden the horizons of the design world and pave the way for a new concept of surface.
The ceramic tiles comes in different thicknesses:
Laminam 3: is the basic slab. Nominal dimensions: 1000 x 3000 mm. Nominal thickness: 3 mm.
Laminam 3+: is the basic slab structurally reinforced with a fibreglass mat attached to the back with a special adhesive. Nominal thickness: 3 mm.
Laminam 3+3: is a sandwich made of two Laminam 3 slabs with a fibreglass mat placed between them. The front surfaces are turned in the opposite direction. Hence, both surfaces of Laminam 3+3 are fronts. Nominal thickness: 7 mm.
Laminam 5: is a basic slab. Nominal thickness: 5.6 mm.
Laminam 5+3: is a sandwich made of Laminam 5 and Laminam 3 slabs with a fibreglass mat placed between the two slabs. The front surfaces of the slabs are turned to the same direction. Hence, the backside of the lower slab is also the backside of Laminam 5+3. Nominal thickness: 8 mm.
Laminam 7: is a sandwich made of two Laminam 3 slabs with a fibreglass mat placed between them. The front surfaces are turned in the same direction. Hence, the backside of the lower slab is also the backside of Laminam 7. Nominal thickness: 7 mm.
Andy - the new collection characterized by a three-dimensional and sharp graphic design. was created by Laminam and the young Japanese designer Narumiya Michio, whose inspiration has been transformed into reality thanks to the research on materials and the innovative production processes carried out by the company.
Andy surfaces are enhanced with a shimmering texture in which the light emphasises the depth of the material, creating surprisingly sophisticated colour variations. The pattern draws inspiration from the natural world to achieve an irregular and highly scenographic design, which changes depending on the viewing angle.
The decoration is not simply "applied" on the surface, but it was possible to achieve this original result by modifying the structure of the slab, with a variation of 1 mm upwards and 1 mm downwards in the very thin depth of the slab.
The company was able to reach surprising results with unusual impact, especially given the thinness and the expanse of the surface. The product range, which initially is available only in cool colours – ghiaccio, carbone, and perla - will be completed with a series with warmer tones in the future.
