Mario Guidarelli

Mario Guidarelli was born in Grottaferrata, Italy in 1952 and comes from a craftsman family. In 1971 he moved to Rome to study architecture. During his studies he worked for a children's theater and became aware of his interest for the theater. He followed this passion for many years, trying different professions within the trade. Today he studies architecture and utilizes his technical experience as a scenographer. In 1984 he moved to Denmark and became fascinated by Danish design.

He continues to live there today working as a carpenter. He was admitted to Danmarks Designskole and received his degree in 2002. In 2003 he co-founded the design studio ETC2 in Copenhagen, where he and his colleagues have participated in several design fairs and exhibitions. Awards that Guidarelli has received include: first place in designing an auditorium for Danmarks Designskole in 2000, second place for "Habitation of the Future" contest in 2001 and second place for "The Design Prize of Bo Bedre" in 2005.
