HAPTIC moves the attention from the ergonomics to the contact with the material choosing the concrete, a raw and structural material that becomes the protagonist of the project. The handle is the element of control, the trait-d’union with the user: in this case the concrete tactile potentials deeply express themselves. The eye catches that porosity that becomes smoothness to the touch. The manufacturing of the handle made of concrete leaves traces in the history of the final product. A product that evolves in time and tells a story of handmade pieces: the defects give value to the product and certify its originality, each piece is handmade.
Concrete is one of the main materials in modern planning, it started from the interior design and achieved then a fundamental role also in product design. Ritmonio is the pacesetter of a valued usage to create a new mix between technological surfaces, traditional materials and urban chic spaces. A clear sign of an original design that becomes versatile like the material it is made of.
HAPTIC is a complete collection of sanitary ware: basin, bidet, shower and bath tube mixers. A single body to be matched to more than one formal and materic solutions for the handle: with lever in chrome and brushed finishing, without lever in chrome, brushed and concrete finishing. The handle without lever, made of concrete is obtained from a special brand of structural concretes, duly treated to avoid as much as possible to leave the fingerprints on it.

Rubinetterie Ritmonio Srl is a solid reality, operating since 1947, animated by two distinct and independent spirits, but, at the same time joined together by the research and the orchestration of water management. The Industrial Division, born in the early fifties and specialized in the valves sector for boiler house, heating and air conditioning components, production of brass parts, copper and brazing components with particular attention for the production of elements on customer’s plans.
The big effort during the years has brought a relevant success: more than 150 workers, 16.000 square meters of the actual plant area in Varallo, 3.000 square meters in Quarona Sesia and 40.000 square meters, bought for future expansion. Ritmonio products are always and entirely manufactured in Italy. Within the first months of 2009 working areas have been expanded for about 5000 square meters, and it has been set the running of an automatic warehouse; moreover the company has let in full work the galvanic and the new polishing departments.
Every decision and every technical solution is characterized by the vocation to do the best: this has brought the company to achieve and maintain since 1995 the ISO 9001:2008 certification. Innovation and research are Ritmonio’s aims: for this reason some products are patented and have been awarded in international competitions (such as Compasso d’Oro, Design Plus, Good Design and iDa-International Design Awards). Since 2008 thanks to his new generation, Ritmonio carries on his path towards new goals and perspectives.
