What has originally been designed for an Australian Club by the globetrotter and lateral thinker Danny Venlet already escapes from any categorization with its appearance. As interior architect and lover of entire compositions, the Q Stool has been designed as bar stool, but the fact that this piece of furniture has fulfilled uncountable other functions along the time, speaks in the favour of its versatility.

The European designer with a fancy for Australia proves his outstanding talent for new trends with the Q Stool that he has developed there 10 years ago. It stands for simple, uncomplicated but intelligent and effective forms that spread an “Easy-Going” feeling of Down Under at any time being an avant-gardist.

Initially created as indoor furniture (also VITEO offers a version with indoor leather – Q Stool Limited), the Q Stool with its new Outdoor-Skai equipment (in white, cacao, blue or lemon) and the waterproof seams is equally perfect adapted for the usage outside. The waterproof interior foam and a ring out of stainless steel ensure that this piece of furniture resist spontaneous rain.

With the Q Stool, Danny Venlet has created an object that went through a further development, which meanwhile reached a status that overcomes its initial duty by far. As doormat, doorstop, children’s toy or umbrella holder in the foyer. And if more people fall in love with the Q Stool functions, more usage possibilities will emerge.

Danny Venlet was born and raised in Australia. After his education at the Saint Lukas Art Academy in Brussels he went back and forth between Australia and Belgium where he lived and worked, and found inspiration in both soils leaving remarkable trails in both countries. As a true member of the avant-garde, he stands for forms that are simple and uncomplicated, yet at the same time, intelligent and effective, stylish and playful. All features which are typical for Venlet’s style.
In 2005 the cooperation between VITEO>OUTDOORS and Danny Venlet began and the Q Stool became equally perfect for use in the open. Set to be launched in 2007, VITEO Shower (golden iF and red dot product design award winner 2007) stands for clear, functional design and ensures a sensual shower experience.

VITEO manufactures furniture for people who feel at home outside. Each collection is made of high quality material like teak, stainless steal or Corian.

Austrian architect Wolfgang Pichler came up with idea of designing a series of outdoor furniture in 2001, when was looking for some to use in his own garden. He intended the series to meet his own design standards and the requirements of a top quality product: the perfect synthesis of form and function would convey relaxation and quality of life in fast-moving times! In addition to high and uncompromising quality standards he wanted ergonomics, durability and variable functionality to define the product philosophy.
It didn’t take long to consider what the company should be called. VITEO is derived from Latin viteus (the vine), and is a homage to the beauty of the natural surroundings in the wine region of southern Styria, where the company is based.
VITEO>OUDOORS has now been designing and producing outdoor furniture for over 7 years and sells these products across the world.

The products of the already well established series HOME COLLECTION present themselves in oiled teak combined with a base of stainless steel, in 2010 some items are being offered under the name of BANDOLINE with a particularly resistant material finish: anthracite grey laminate. The series SOLO COLLECTION is completely made of Iroko wood. CEMENTUM presents grey concrete components at ground level, new in 2010 is an additional CEMENTUM LIGHT version made of fibre cement. The VITEO URBAN COLLECTION has been displaying innovative design products like the VITEO Shower; for the fields of shadowing and lighting VITEO has also come up with beautiful, functional designs.

Handcrafted in small batches, each furniture piece is tested before delivery to its flawlessness. Thus, Austrian quality not only an empty promise, but at the highest aim of VITEO.
