VERTEX, a design chair created by Karim Rashid for Vondom, its triangular planes meet dynamically to create comfortable forms suitable for dining, meeting rooms, banquet, lecture halls and other casual needs.
VERTEX looks as if it was chiseled from a single block of material, what is left is structural yet, beautiful. The collection VERTEX is created for integrating into our space a more conceptual architectural piece, to give it a more sophisticated touch.
The pieces are manufactured by rotational molding, the main characteristic of this technique is that the material is 100% recyclable and it can explore never-ending possibilities in the shapes.

Vondom
Vondom is a company for indoor-outdoor decoration, was started in 2006, in Valencia, designing the lighting. Not for too much, cause couple of years later, was started to produce vases, who brings them in front of the biggest contests from Milan and Paris. Vondom team made by Javier Mariscal, Karim Rashing in combination with Ramon Esteem Jm Ferrero, they started to sell products all over the world, arriving to do business with over 70 countries.
Design its Vondom passion, that's why they can offer you a unique Mediterranean design for your outdoor and indoor spaces. Contest like Salone internazionale del Mobile Milano, Maison & Object Paris are just couple of competition where Vondom was participating and bring in front products that combines design, stylish, beach life and contemporary facilities with the latest technology.
Anothers contests like Hospitality Design Las Vegas and Furniture China, where they were presented a new collection of outdoor-indoor furniture, Vondom stands up the high-level in design, responding to the height request of their clients. Large curved Lines, and the new technology of LEDs Light in the furniture will make your outdoor spaces catch life after the night its coming.
“In time, after you work very much with a couple of good designers of the world, you benefit of their professionalism and the attentions of the details. We always learn and improve, because we need to keep the steps with the new standards. we are happy to collaborate with them, and this thing you can see it on our products too.”
All of Vondom’s products are made of 100 per cent recyclable materials – proof that it wholeheartedly endorses sustainability. “We want to innovate not only in terms of products but by investing in sustainable materials and manufacturing processes,” continues Ballester.
From an aesthetic perspective, Vondom’s products are fresh and funky. Sleek and simple yet sometimes vibrantly pop too, its outdoor furniture is a million miles from the neo-colonial look of so much traditional teak garden furniture. What’s more, its Jut collection of chunky, geometric deckchairs, sofas and tables in white and bougainvillea pink has, says Ballester, broken technological barriers: “It’s the first furniture collection made using rotation-moulding that creates straight lines.” Other pioneering Vondom pieces include Rashid´s playful, undulating high-gloss design Lava – a pendant lamp-cum-bench. Then there’s Mariscal’s blade-shaped, LED standard light Blanca, which emits a green, fuchsia or white light.
Vondom is clearly set on having an international presence. In fact, it already sells its products in over 70 countries. In the future, it aims to consolidate its presence in the main countries where it’s already a major player and to expand in those territories where it’s yet to become a leading company. It’s currently investing heavily in the Chinese market where it plans to open showrooms in more than six cities before not too long.
